Daily Seasonal Breakfast
Breakfast is served each day under one of our outdoor, vine covered pergolas.
Organic & Locally Sourced
As much of the food used in the preparation of the meals comes from our organic garden, or is locally sourced and includes free range eggs from our chickens.
Included in the breakfast is bread, Greek style yoghurt, jams, marmalade, pancakes and cakes, which are all home made.
Lunch or Dinner on Request
In the evening many guests choose to eat dinner at La Casa degli Amori either alone or joining the other guests (please ask for details).
Pool & Garden
Created from a muddy field with just four mature trees, today there are many secluded, peaceful areas to totally relax in. The garden has been planted with perfumed flowers and an abundance of roses. Pine, cypress, olive and fruit trees and plants have been planted to attract bees, birds and butterflies.
The mosaic tiled swimming pool (11x 6x 1.3 metres) has plenty of sun loungers and reclining chairs to sit in to soak up the sun.
At the far end of the pool is a double height pergola. Sit underneath to shelter from the midday sun and climb the stairs to view the idyllic rolling countryside which surrounds La Casa degli Amori, so typical of Le Marche.
It is also possible to play table tennis in a designated area or take a bike out to ride.

Out & About
Treia is one of 16 towns in Le Marche region of Italy which, because of it’s beautifully preserved historical centre, is included among the ‘Borghi piu belli d’Italia’ – ‘Most beautiful villages in Italy’. The Daily Telegraph in the UK cited it as the 10th most beautiful village in Italy and La Casa degli Amori as the place to stay when visiting.
- Visit the magnificent theatre
- The medieval cathedral
- 17th century town hall with renaissance and classical paintings
- Torre Onglavina
Throughout the year there are a series of food, sport and music festivals. The most famous of which is “The game of Bracciale”. The game is celebrated by a re-enactment which takes place during the last week in July and the first week in August. The final is played on the first Sunday in August. Carlo Didimi was champion of this medieval game and he was born in Treia. Similar to real tennis, the players dress in medieval costume and play in a special court against the town walls.
La Casa degli Amori is very well served by a range of restaurants from takeway pizzas to a local restaurant aiming for it’s first Michelin star. They have all been tried and tested and bookings can be arranged so you can judge for yourself.
The tourist office is open daily and they speak English. They will be only too pleased to show you the theatre or one of the museums for your own personal viewing.
A favourite pastime is to walk from La Casa degli Amori into the Centro Storico (historic centre) of Treia and marvel at the winding streets and wonderful views from this fairytale place.
Out & About
La Casa degli Amori is centrally located in Le Marche and it is possible to visit the main attractions in a day. In fact if you stay long enough you can see them all!
YouTube and the internet provide numerous videos about the most important sights.
However, many hidden gems hide under the radar and we are discovering more each year, which we would be delighted to share with you.
Le Marche in a paragraph includes the magnificent Sibillini mountains which rise 2,400 metres, the world heritage site of Urbino, the beaches, the seaside towns, the Monte Conero national park with its gorgeous resorts of Sirolo, Numana and Portonova along the Adriatic Coast, (where turtles are released during the summer and daily boat trips are made to secluded sandy bays), the most amazing Frasassi Caves (largest in Europe) and to Ascoli Piceno in the southern part of Le Marche.
Listed in your room are our suggestions for day trips, rainy days, designer factory outlets, historical sites, unique museums, etc. We also compile a weekly list of ‘What’s On’ so you don’t have to miss a thing!
Laurence & Sandy Love
After reading many articles in the British press about LE MARCHE, we decided to visit in 2003 as it seemed the perfect location for a holiday home. We travelled around the whole province and we were bowled over by the countryside, people, history, food and, of course, the climate. So we decided to change our lives and make a permanent move to the central part of the area in order to restore one of the many abandoned old buildings. 100 houses later, we found an old farmhouse built in 1850, which although neglected still had elements of character, flat usable land, an amazing setting and a charming building in which Laurence could work from. In March 2004 we purchased the house and after a restoration of six months we moved in.
January 1st 2005
Laurence had spent his whole life making hand forged ironwork for customers all over the world. Our original idea was to run recreational ironwork courses and we re-designed the house accordingly. Sandy was at long last going to utilise her catering management and classically trained cheffing skills to cook for guests after years of working in medical practices in the UK.
A chance meeting led us to be asked to accommodate wedding guests for a local British run wedding venue and our Bed and Breakfast at La Casa degli Amori was born. Laurence no longer makes ironwork but his forge is still here and examples of his work are all around.
When the wedding venue closed two years later we found we still had guests wanting to return to stay and so we carried on! Some of our guests still return every year.
Nowadays, Laurence will be there to greet you and show you around and Sandy will no doubt be in the kitchen.
We have developed an undoubted passion for this area, which we delight in sharing.

Total relaxation in the beautiful Italian countryside
“We stayed with Sandy and Laurence for four nights in their beautifully restored home and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and relaxation.
Sandy and Laurence made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble, we really cannot thank them enough and we will certainly return.
Wonderful week in beautiful Treia
“We had one Lovely week at La Casa Degli Amori in August, and it was even better than we had expected. We were two families with altogether 5 children between 12 and 18 years old and all of us enjoyed our stay very much. The house is Lovely, the bedrooms are Beautiful, the garden is perfect, the pool is great, the tomatoes in the garden taste perfect and Sandy and Laurence are the nicest persons ever! We could not have had a better week. Thank you so much for letting us stay with you. I have a feeling we will meet again”
Read Never to be forgotton stay!
“We have just spent a wonderful few days at La Casa degli Amori.
Sandy & Laurence were fantastic hosts & they did everything they could to make our stay memorable.
From the moment we arrived we felt at home & our room was clean & extremely comfortable. Sandy & Laurence provided everything you could possible need, right down to the toiletries.
The cooler, in the guest lounge, containing a selection of wines & beers at cost price was particularly nice as the weather was scorching.
The days spent by the glorious pool were fantastic & just the tonic we needed.
Sandy & Laurence have created a ‘home from home’ in the Italian countryside & Sandy’s cuisine skills are second to none!!
Our hosts were always on hand to offer advice on local places of interest to visit & restaurants to try.
We had a brilliant time & can’t wait to visit again next year!”
Beautiful place to stay, set in a very picturesque place. Sandy and Laurence are great hosts, breakfast was incredible and we were even accommodated for our dietary requirements. Spacious and cozy rooms, good sized (and very well ph balanced) swimming pool, and our kids even got a pool toy present from the hosts. Would definetely recommend to friends.
An oasis of charm and hospitality.
“My room was spacious and very well thought out in design to ensure a good night’s sleep. The ensuite walk-in shower was a treat. There was no TV in the room, which suited me. There are accessible sets elsewhere with a variety of DVDs suitable for all ages. Sandy is a superb cook, making it a pleasure to eat for England during my stay.. She and Laurence are a warm and welcoming couple, who show a genuine interest in their guests without being intrusive. The house is set in glorious countryside, ideal for exploratory walks, and there are a number of good restaurants and points of historical interest within easy driving distance. I enjoyed a wonderful week”
Enjoy life with all your senses/ Das Leben mit allen Sinnen genießen
Casa degli Amori, is a mystical place to dream and to enjoy life. We also enjoyed the silence and the company of Sandy and Lawrence for 2 weeks. Sandy´s cooking skills, her perfect breakfast with homemade bread and her jams enchanted us every morning. But also their dinners, whether BBQ or their local recipes have always fascinated us. The rooms were a second-home for us and the pool was the perfect oasis to relax.
Laurence with his tips and his ideas is the perfect guide to discover the Marche (a beautiful part of Italy) and to get to know Treia and its area.”
‘B and B’ and some
“La Casa degli Amori (The Love’s House) is so much more than just a bed and breakfast. The most comfortable beds I have ever slept on, clean, peaceful, oh so tranquil and brilliant breakfasts, different each day! Did I mention the hosts ?Sandy and Laurence, great guys, who have a wealth of entertaining stories about their life here in their adopted country. They are picking up new information all the time about the area which they are only too pleased to chat about , if you are interested. They put us on track to discover hidden cantinas, museums, festivals and to meet Italians, none of which we would have discovered if we had rented a villa or stayed in a Hotel. Laurence introduced us to the guy in the Tourist Office who gave us a personal tour of the theatre . Amazing!
We managed to extend our stay but it still wasn’t long enough… Thanks .”
Lovely relaxing week in this heavenly place!
After a long and hot but beautiful drive from Rome we arrived at our home for the week, as we stepped from the car the scent of jasmine and roses wafted around us and a sleepy cat got up to see who was visiting. Our host Laurence soon appeared to make us welcome and show us to our lovely room. We chose the Mahogany suite and were very comfortable, lovely comfy bed, beautifully appointed bathroom and the bonus of our own entrance and sitting area. We were soon by the pool relaxing in the beautiful garden which Laurence and sandy have worked hard to create. The house is surrounded by beautiful countryside with panoramic views towards hills and mountains. One of the things we enjoyed most was the peace, just birds singing and the occasional church bell, no traffic noise….bliss. Sandy cooked for us several times, always delicious and made a special meal for our wedding anniversary. They shared these meals with us which was so lovely of them, great company as they have so much to share about their experiences and are always keen to advise you about where to go in the area. Breakfast was also yummy. This is a beautiful place to stay with hosts who truly care about looking after their guests. Lots of places to venture out to see in the area too
Perfect Venue for a Party
“We chose La Casa degli Amori as a venue for a very special occasion after reading the reviews and hearing from friends about it’s special reputation.
Laurence welcomed us in and gave us a tour of the garden and pool area,( he built this wonderful mosaic lined pool himself!) We had ordered dinner on our first night which gave us a chance to taste the food cooked by Sandy and to finalise plans for our ‘event’. Sandy’s food was so tasty and the ingredients carefully chosen, it far surpassed our expectations. Both Laurence and Sandy are so friendly and approachable it made the preparations easy to discuss and finalise. I had had reservations about choosing a Bed and Breakfast as opposed to a Hotel, but this was a personal service in the truest sense and our event was an amazing success. Thank you Laurence and Sandy, we will be back.”
Perfect Italian country relaxation
“Our 5th visit to this beautiful house. If its possible it has got even better with lots of new touches like window mesh to keep bugs at bay in high summer, a new sitting and eating area, more beautiful flowers in the garden and personal touches in the delightful rooms. Gorgeous rooms, delicious breakfasts, a sparkling pool, fresh produce growing in the garden, chickens laying eggs fro breakfast..wine available 24/7 from the fridge, options for evening meals, picnic lunches… you may never make it out of the garden!”
